The Sacrament of Confession (or reconciliation) is offered at every Mass at the Old Catholic Church of BC through general absolution as stated in our liturgy. Private confession is also available. In life, our hearts are restless until we find peace in God. This restlessness is sin that separates us from God and by our confession, followed by the absolution, we are reunited with God so we can become “… the unspotted mirror of God’s power and the image of His goodness.” (liturgy of the Old Catholic Church of BC). What’s important to remember when confessing is that Jesus himself is the one who forgives sins through the priest, who is Jesus’ instrument of reconciliation.
